‘Jurassic World 2’ To Feature Extinct Creatures Of Cenozoic Era? Jeff Goldblum And Laura Dern To Reprise?
The rise of dino-shaped success of “Jurassic World” is not yet stopped. On Saturday and Sunday, the movie bagged $3.9 million that is just ahead of “Ted 2’s” $3.6 million. However, the preparation has already started for another sequel of “Jurassic World,” and according to IBTimes India, the popular stars like Jeff Goldblum, Laura Dern and Sam Neill might be seen in the characters of Ian Malcolm, Ellie Sattler and Alan Grant, respectively. Read below to know more about “Jurassic World 2.”
The genius man behind “Jurassic World,” Colin Trevorrow, the director, was interviewed by Bad Taste during the world premiere of the movie in Paris in May this year. Trevorrow directly related “Jurassic Park” with “Star Wars” and added that different directors could bring a different taste to each movie, and he would be only involved in some other way instead of directing the movie.
Other members of the production team, including Trevorrow and Steven Spielberg are contemplating to bring new surprises for the fans and viewers of dino-centric film franchise, and this could also include bringing back a few popular characters from the original movie. The requirement of this was later recognized after the release of “Jurassic World” that fans actually expected some familiar faces, but the movie only had the returning of B D Wong as Dr. Henry Wu. As claimed by Trevorrow, this was done as Spielberg desired to create something exceptional for the new generation.
“I never saw a draft in which they were included, and I think I looked at every iteration at least once. That was because I think largely, and I’m sure the writers agree, but Steven had a mission to make something new, and he really wanted it to be a Jurassic Park for a new generation,” Trevorrow earlier said to Cinema Blend.
Ecumenical News has pointed out some potential plot lines for “Jurassic World 2.” The outlet helped to recall the fictional news that came up in November last year that InGen (International Genetic Technologies) unveiled a new “Martel” facility in Siberia and the team would have the onus to investigate on the organic remains of woolly mammoths. Hence, it would be fabulous if the sequel incorporates saber-toothed tigers and woolly mammoths including other extinct creatures from the Cenozoic Era. But it is very tough to say what’s going to happen.
