‘Jurassic World 2′ Update: Chris Pratt Explains How His Ironic Prediction About ‘Jurassic World’ Turned Into Reality!
He destroyed the box office with his raptor buddies when “Jurassic World” went on to gross about $1.6 billion worldwide at the box office. But did you know that Chris Pratt at one point of time joked about how he would have to think about being a part of “Jurassic Park 4” in a behind the scene video that was shot back in 2009? Recently, in a bonus feature Chris shared the moment when he jokingly predicted his casting and how years later he was actually cast as the lead.
According to Cinema Blend, an exclusive clip was shared with them by Universal that showed “Jurassic World” star Chris Pratt being interviewed by his director Colin Trevorrow about shooting “Jurassic World.” Just when we thought that the conversation couldn’t get any amusing, Colin asked Chris about the viral behind the scenes video that he made on the sets of “Parks and Recreation” back in 2009 that showed him send a text message to Steven Spielberg about how he would have to think about starring in “Jurassic Park 4.”
The reason why its ironical is because Chris, back in 2009, was not in the best shape, in fact he was on the heavier side and had a rather funny role in NBC sitcom “Parks and Recreation” when he joked about turning down the lead role in “Jurassic Park 4.”
It is really amazing how life can sometimes surprise you because as soon as he achieved international fame with “Guardians of the Galaxy” proving to be a major hit, he was signed on to play Velociraptor trainer Owen Grady in “Jurassic World.”
Currently living the life in Hollywood, Chris has “Passengers,” “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol.2” and “Jurassic World 2,” to look forward to in which he will be starring as the lead.
