Justice League Dark: Matt Ryan, Aidan Turner to Star in the Movie?
DC’s Justice League Dark will soon be seen in a live-action format, which is good news for WB/DC because that would give the studio a chance to explore DC’s supernatural side.
With the likes of John Constantine, Zatanna, Deadman, Etrigan the demon and Swamp Thing coming together to form the team, it would be interesting to see who gets to play which character.
Though no information has been made available yet, here are some actors who could be a part of the team in the movie.
Matt Ryan has played John Constantine earlier too so for the movie he would be a good choice. Fans appreciated his performance and if he were to reprise his role in the movie, it would give him an opportunity to further explore the character.

Zooey Deschanel would be a good choice to play the role of Zatanna. Known as one of the most powerful sorceresses in DC, Zatanna can speak spells backwards making her one of the top magic users.
Zatanna has been romantically linked to Constantine and in an altered timeline to Etrigan the demon as well.
Mark’s portrayal as Sinestro in Green Lantern was quite good even if the movie was not. So if he were to play Deadman in this movie, it would give him an opportunity to bring forward another character from the DC Universe.
Deadman’s essentially a ghost who has been given the power to possess any living being.
Aidan Turner could make a brilliant Etrigan in the movie. The demon is considered as one of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe who can go up against Superman and Wonder Woman.
He also has a human side that goes by the name Jason Blood. In the movie, Turner could play the role of Jason who willingly can turn into Etrigan the Demon. Jason was a knight whose body was merged with the monster in the comics.
Since Aidan Turner is the lead star of Poldark, playing an old character like a knight would be easy for him.
Idris is known as Heimdall in the Marvel universe. However, if he were to swap to the DC side, Swamp Thing would be an appropriate role for him.
Much like Etrigan, Swamp Thing too is a monster that protects mostly the environment. With Elba’s heavy voice and some motion capture work, he would make a really good Swamp Thing in the movie.
Comicbook.com reported that since there is an appetite for R-rated animated movies, DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation was more than willing to make the animated movie Justice League Dark an R-rated one.
The movie will see Batman teaming up with Justice League’s mythical counterpart and trying to save the planet from a demonic threat.
Justice League Dark does not have a release date yet.
