‘Justice League’ Movie Update: Charlie Hunnam Set to Play the Role of Green Arrow?
“The Justice League – Part One” movie will see the finest and biggest superheroes in the DC universe gather together for one heck of a movie. While casting roles for Batman, Aquaman, Superman, Wonder Woman, Louis Lane and Cyborg have already been set, an ongoing petition has been raised to cast “Sons of Anarchy” actor Charlie Hunnam to play the role of Green Arrow. “The Justice League” movie has been set for a 2017 release in cinemas and while that still seems quite a long wait for fans, production for the film is already underway. ComicBook.com reported that screenwriter Chris Terrio and director Zack Synder have already finished writing the script for the upcoming DC movie after locking themselves in a room filled with Diet Coke.
While the “Justice League” movie is already one step closer to full production, several fans are still hoping that the Green Arrow will be cast in the upcoming film. Inquisitr cited that many fans of The CW series “Arrow” were disappointed when Warner Brothers announced that Stephen Amell’s Green Arrow will not be included in the DC movie.
The outlet noted, however, that fans immediately raised speculations that while Amell’s Green Arrow may not be cast in the movie, another actor may fill in his shoes. An ongoing petition on Change.org raises the possibility of casting “Sons of Anarchy” actor for the role of Green Arrow in the upcoming “Justice League” movie.
“We want to see Warner Brothers finally do something right when it comes to DC comicbook movies. So start by casting the right actor with the right part,” the petition reads.
The petition has already been closed and has only gathered 53 supporters. Warner Brothers has yet to comment on the issue.
“The Justice League – Part One” movie stars Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Gal Gadot as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Louis Lane, Jason Mamoa as Aquaman and Ray Fisher as Cyborg.
