Justin Bieber ‘Purpose’ Album Smashed A Billboard Hot 100 Record First Held By Beatles For 51 Years
Justin Bieber is definitely building a huge momentum in his career with the release of his latest album entitled “Purpose.” Not only does it feature songs with a brand new take on his music genre with his more profound lyrics but it has also smashed a previous record held by an iconic band from the past era.
According to HollywoodLife, he has just gained his sixth Top 1 album, thanks to “Purpose” but, what is more, impressive is 17 songs from the said album have landed to the Billboard Hot 100 chart in just a single week! Yes, you read that right. In fact, he is the only artists to do this ever since Billboard started counting significant records.
The first music group artist who has done such a feat is none other than The Beatles. They set the record last Apr. 11, 1964, when 14 of their songs entered the Billboard Top 100 lead by the tracks “Can’t Buy Me Love” (No.1) and “Twist and Shout” (No.2). The closest one to get nearby this record is Drake which have tied their achievement last March and October of the current year.
According to Billboard, out of the 17 songs from “Purpose” that made it to the newest record, 13 of them have just debuted on the Top 100 Chart. Here is the summary of the songs and their position:
