Another good news for Justin Bieber fans as the singer’s latest album titled “Purpose” has crossed all previous records on Spotify by making it to 205 million worldwide streams right in the very first week of its release. While talking about One Direction’s album titled “Made in the A.M.”, the number of streams have been noted to be almost 106 million globally.
Both the albums have topped Spotify’s list and gained a much better in-fact a never seen before a response from their fans. While Bieber’s album has made almost 77 million streams domestically, this has been reported to be One Direction’s fifth studio album. With tireless efforts by various fan communities of Bieber and One Direction, previous records held by “Beauty Behind the Madness” have been broken. The album, however, still remains a top chart competitor. Initially this year, the album gathered almost 90 million streams in its first week.
It has also been contented that the same release dates of “Purpose” and “Made in the A.M.” also acted as a major catalyst in increasing the activities on Pandora, Internet radio hub. A 23 percent rise has been noticed in spins on the service when talking about Beiber while One Direction witnessed an 8 percent increase in spins. Concerning the “thumbs up”, the numbers were 32 and 11 percent respectively. It appears as if Bieber’s album is all set to top Billboard 200 albums chart of next week and taking over One Direction’s album.
