Kanye West & Taylor Swift Reconcile After Six Years Since Controversial 2009 VMAs

Though some claim to never forgive someone after a really unforgivable move, time really has such power in healing wounds. This may be proven true by Kanye West and Taylor Swift as they patch things up during the Grammy Awards.

During the 57th Grammy Awards on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015, Taylor Swift was seen with Kanye West’s wife Kim Kardashian. And as anyone would expect, that just meant West and Swift also met up that night in what seemed to be an awkward moment.

Not that that’s a strange thing to happen. Both artists have been nursing a cold war since West rudely interrupted Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video Music Awards in 2009. But apparently, the two let bygones be bygones as they clapped hands and even posed together for a photo.

In his infamous stage interruption back in 2009, West went onstage as Swift was receiving her Best Female Video award for her “You Belong With Me” music video. Apparently, West was rooting for his friend Beyoncé, as he said, “Yo Taylor, I’m really happy for you, I’ll let you finish, but Beyoncé has one of the best videos of all time. One of the best videos of all time!”

But it seems Swift wasn’t done yet in patching things up with someone who made things difficult for her. DJ Diplo, who apparently has said some unkind things about Swift before, posted a photo over at Instagram that showed both of them together during the Grammys after party.

It seems the Grammy Awards night has quite some magic as it became not only a night of splendor and appreciation, but also of reconciliation. Who knows, maybe we’ll get to see more of Kanye West, Taylor Swift and Diplo together in the near future.
