Kate Middleton And Jeremy Corbyn Made Surprise Attendance, Chinese President’s Visit To UK Hailed By Queen
China’s president Xi Jinping’s visit to the UK has been hailed by Queen Elizabeth as a”milestone” and she says that his visit has taken the Anglo-Chinese relation to new heights.
According to Mirror, Her Majesty was speaking in the honour of the statesman at a state banquet while addressing all the guests. She said that there are many reasons to celebrate the growing and dynamic economic relation between the two countries.
There were two memorable moments at the white-tie dinner: The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and the Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn were present there. This is being seen as a major change in the role played by them as members of the monarchy.
Kate Middleton was making her presence felt as walked there in a red gown made by Jenny Packham also with the Pearl and Diamond tiara of a lotus flower. This is a wonderful piece of jewellery, which has been given by the Queen.
In another surprise, Jeremy Corbyn of Labour Party was also present at the white-tie dinner as opposed to his image of not attending ceremony and pomp. However, according to onlookers, the politician looked a bit uncomfortable as he plays the role of opposition leader.
According to News United, the opposition leader was dressed according to the occasion as he sat down for the first time in Buckingham Palace to honour the visiting president. When he got the chance to meet Chinese president Xi Jinping he was wearing a burgundy tie with a white striped shirt, but after few hour he was wearing a complete banquet.
China’s leader will be in the UK for four days and David Cameron has stated that his visit is an important moment in the development of relation between two countries.
