Kathy Griffin Leaves Fashion Police: Surprised on People’s Reactions of her Quitting
After losing Kelly Osbourne as its host, it seems like E! Entertainment’s ‘Fashion Police’ now will need to ‘hunt’ for a new host, as Kathy Griffin too signed off from the show in a short span. As expected, a lot of people reacted to her decision.
Upon asking for support on her decision to leave ‘Fashion Police’ through her Twitter announcement, Kathy Griffin invited a lot of reactions. Her list of supporters even included celebrities like Josh Groban, Lena Dunham, Mindy Kaling, Rosie O’Donnell and Whoopi Goldberg. However, a few people like journalist Piers Morgan also criticized her for leaving the show.
In response to people’s reactions on her leaving ‘Fashion Police’, Griffin addressed the matter during a concert in Connecticut on Friday, March 13. In a video TMZ was able to obtain, Griffin says that there was no other issue involved with her leaving, except that things just didn’t work out. She admitted that even she was surprised on the reaction her resignation got, though she connected it to the show’s late host Joan Rivers.
Last Thursday, March 12, Griffin took to Twitter to post of her leaving ‘Fashion Police’, which was then confirmed by E! Entertainment. Griffin’s absence has left a huge void in the hosting panel of ‘Fashion Police’, as she is the second host to leave so soon. Co-host Kelly Osbourne also left a few weeks ago due to the racial comment made by Giuliana Rancic on her friend Zendaya’s dreadlocks.
Due to her walking out of ‘Fashion Police,’ rumors about the possibility of ‘Fashion Police’ being cancelled, has been floating around, despite E! announcing that the show will go on with its last two hosts on board. According to a source of the New York Daily News, it shouldn’t be too much of a surprise anymore if the show will be quietly cancelled within weeks. The source also added, “Melissa [Rivers] is a producer, not a leader; she can’t get control of the situation.”
