Katy Perry and John Mayer Are Back Together; Couple PDA Over the Weekend

It’s official. Katy Perry and John Mayer are back together.

Love is definitely in the air, as the two hottest music stars decided to give their relationship another try. According to People, the couple had been spotted on a double date with “Girls” Allison Williams and fiancé Ricky Van Veen last Saturday at the Chateau Marmont in Hollywood.

Perry and Mayer could not keep their hands off each other and were totally on full-blown PDA throughout the date. This is the second consecutive weekend that the couple was spotted together since their public breakup in February.

During their first couple sighting in Tower Bar, an insider from News.com.au, claims that the entire restaurant turned silent when the couple was first spotted walking together, arm in arm.

“Even Dimitri Dimitrov – Hollywood’s most famous maitre d’, who has seen everything – and Sunset Tower owner Jeff Klein both stopped mid-sentence when John and Katy arrived, as if they wanted to announce to everyone in Hollywood they are back together,” the source added.

According to People, one of the reasons why the relationship didn’t work out was because of the seven-year age gap between Perry and Mayer. The “XO” singer was reportedly tired of going out and partying all night which his girlfriend enjoys.

It also didn’t help that Perry had to be away most of the time because of the “Prismatic World Tour.” Perry was aware of the strain her tour has done to the relationship, but she was not about to let her love life get in the way of her career.

“She’s not going to slow down now when she’s at the top of her game,” the source explained.
