Kelly Brook’s American Dream Continues after ‘One Big Happy’ Cancellation
The British bombshell Kelly Brook successfully caught America’s attention as a star of NBC’s cancelled sitcom “One Big Happy.” Brook will possibly land another role on US television. Read on for details.
Turns out, Brook still has an existing deal with Warner Brothers. Mirror stated that Brook is currently a frontrunner for some roles. Ellen DeGeneres, the executive producer of “One Big Happy,” is reported to continue her communication with Brook for future projects.
An insider told the outlet that the studio saw potential on Brook’s comedy skills. The big bosses thought that Brook did “a fine job” playing the role of Prudence.
“Warners want to build some successful comedies and see Kelly as a prized asset,” the source claimed to Mirror UK.
The insider also said that DeGeneres saw “unique qualities” in Brook that Americans seemed to love. However, it became difficult for Brook as a British actress to find effective roles for her in the US.
Deadline previously confirmed NBC’s move in cancelling “One Big Happy.” To date, the site also reported that the “Undateable” is the only comedy show left for NBC.
Brook posted on Instagram a black-and-white photo of her and her co-stars. She wrote on the caption how “grateful” she was to be a part of the show. It was because “One Big Happy” gave her the “most incredible, creatively challenging and most rewarding job.” She said she would miss her co-stars who “laughed, cried and ate a lot of Cheese” with her for almost two years. She claimed she would be friends with them “for life not just a Season.”
“Going off to cry now,” Brook wrote.
Another “One Big Happy” star tweeted about her sentiments. Elisha Cuthbert thanked the show’s fans for the unwavering support. She said she was honored to play the role of Lizzy.
