Kevin Love, Kevin Durant Named NBA Players of the Week – Get the Details
Kevin Love and Kevin Durant continued their outstanding performance in NBA matches played Monday through Sunday. And both were named Players of the Week.
New Record Of Kevin Love
In the games played Nov. 21 through Nov. 27, Kevin Love of Cleveland Cavaliers named NBA Eastern Player of the Week. Similarly, Golden State Warriors’ Kevin Durant was named Western Conference Player of the Week.
Love’s outstanding performance helped Cavaliers to a 3-0 week. Love led the East with 30.7 points. He made 19-of-29 three-point attempts. In the match against Portland Trail Blazers on Nov. 23, Kevin Love scored 40 points, a season-high in the league. He also handed out three assists and grabbed eight rebounds, taking the Cavaliers to a 137-125 victory against the Blazers.
In addition, Love made a record by scoring 34 first-quarter points. It is the highest NBA total in any quarter behind Klay Thompson’s 37 points against the Sacramento Kings in 2015.
Kevin Durant In Full Flow
NBA is currently witnessing the Kevins’ Show as Kevin Durant is also in full swing. Durant led Golden State Warriors to a 4-0 week taking the Warriors’ winning streak to 11 games.
Durant averaged 24.8 points along with 8.3 rebounds and 6.3 assists. He scored 50.0% of his three-point attempts. He now ranks sixth in the NBA and No. 2 in Week 4 NBA MVP race. In the match against Los Angeles Lakers on Nov. 23, Durant made 28 points and added six rebounds along with five assists.
Durant’s performance helped the Warriors a 149-106 victory over the Lakers and a 115-102 victory over the Minnesota Timberwolves.
