Khaleesi’s Assistant Joins Dylan O’Brien in ‘The Maze Runner’ Sequel

At first, they got Littlefinger actor Aiden Gillen to play the role of the villain on the next chapter of "The Maze Runner." Next, they got Nathalie Emmanuel who played Khaleesi’s handmaiden Missandei. Read on to know more about the details of this scoop.

HBO’s “Game of Thrones” appears to be one great pool of talents as most actors of the prominent TV series are now a part of big screen movies. Kit Harrington lent his voice to this year’s highest grossing animation film, “How to Train Your Dragon 2” as Eret. Lena Headey is joining the cast of “Pride and Prejudice and Zombies” along with Charles Dance who already appeared as the demon in “Dracula Untold.” Sophie Turner, more commonly known as Sansa Stark, also starred as a lead in the horror pic “Another Me.” Those are just a few of the many acquired big screen actors who makeup the heavy ridden cast of “Game of Thrones.” Now joining those who recently had their share in the silver screen is Nathalie Emmanuel as she takes part signs in the second chapter of “The Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials.”

According to Den of Geek, “The Maze Runner” has crossed the $250 million Box Office mark and that’s a very good outcome basing it on their $34 million production budget. Such success earned FOX the confirmation that the part two, “The Scorch Trials” will be made and it’s starting production next month. The first “Game of Thrones” actor they acquired was Aidan Gillen, more commonly known for his part as the Littlefinger, who will be playing the role of a villain. This time around they got another one to sign in for the sequel and that’s none other than the actress portraying as Khaleesi’s first handmaiden Missandei. Emmanuel will take on the role of Harriet, a leader of another group of maze escapees who later on rendezvous with the main protagonist, Thomas, and his group.

On this confirmation, she will be starring alongside Dylan O’Brien and Will Poulter among all others under the direction of Wes Ball. And if the movie were to follow the book, she would be reprising her role in the third and last installment. “The Scorch Trials” is slated for release on September 18, 2015.

That concludes our scoop on the latest casting for “The Scorch Trials.” Stay in tuned to Movie News Guide (MNG) for more updates in the entertainment industry.
