Kid Gets Hit in the Nuts by Tennis Ball in the Australian Open 2015 [WATCH VIDEO]

It was a fast serve by the Spanish professional male tennis player Feliciano López Díaz-Guerra in the 2015 Australian Open. The ball hit the nuts of the linesman who apparently seems to be a young boy. It was a seemingly funny video yet quite a dangerous situation for the boy.

The serve went really fast, and the magnitude with which it hit the boy’s organ must have been immense. For the record, the speed of the serve was 196 km/hr. However, the kid shook it off like a champ.

Come to think of some bitter consequences, it could surely have been a life-threatening experience for the kid. Medically, a testicle injury can double one over in an excruciating agony.

On Sept. 10, 1983, during the United States open, \ linesman Dick Wertheim was hurt and killed by a tennis ball while officiating the junior boys title match between Stefan Edberg and Simon Youl. Wertheim was seated on a folding chair, as he was the center service linesman in the match. An ace served by Edberg hit him on his privates with such a magnitude that tipped him over onto the hard court ground from his chair, resulting in an internal hemorrhage and consequent death after five days from the incident.
