Read on.
This coming together of top Korean wave artists and leaders from both the North and South Korea was set off again in the crafting of a Unification Song aptly entitled “One Dream One Korea.” This gathering for a cause is for the continuing global aspiration of Korean unification as reported by All K-Pop.
The great divide of Korea into South Korea and North Korea began 50 years ago with the result of the 1945 Allied victory in World War II. It ended the Empire of Japan’s 35-year colonial rule of Korea by General Order No. 1. These divisions at the 38th parallel produced two completely dissimilar nations fostered by their own standards and practices.
“Abracadabra” lyricist Kim Eana provided the words to the music composed by Kim Hyung-Suk of “My Sassy Girl” fame and American-born South Korean musical director Koleen Park (“Korea’s Got Talent”).
“I think unity is everyone’s desire. With that same sentiment I will compose a song that can embrace all generations,” Hyung-Suk confessed during an interview for One Dream One Korea.
The song of the video which is now available in YouTube has already gained quite a number of views. “One Dream One Korea” was greatly inspired with the 1980s “We Are the World” song. This new visualization of the classic dittie hungers for torn families to be brought back again together due to the conflict.
“One Dream One Korea” will be performed live on the 1K Concert on Oct. 9, 2015, at the Seoul, World Cup Stadium and will be broadcasted live by Korean broadcasting company SBS.
