Kristen Stewart Is OK For A “Twilight” Revision But Says She No Longer Wants To Be Involved In The Cast; Prefers A Career In Music?
Kristen Stewart is up for a “Twilight” remake. The 25-year-old actress has no qualms if ever the movie adaptation of Stephanie Meyer’s vampire romance novels will have its own reboot. Read on for more details.
The American actress. who gained worldwide prominence when she starred in the first “Twilight” movies in 2008, revealed via Perez Hilton, how deeply involved she was with the saga and her viewpoint of an update.
“I was so genuinely, heavily entrenched in [Twilight] and not in a way that felt like an obligation. Even though after the first one, which stood alone, it lasted a long time,” Stewart said.
Stewart confessed that it would be fine seeing a clone of her in a remake. She also revealed that it was not easy for her to express about a project that took a five-year earnest commitment which she passionately invested herself into. Despite Hollywood’s insane practice of early spin-offs and reboots (i.e. the “Spider-Man” franchise), Stewart made it clear that despite her fondness for the “Twilight” movies she no longer wants to be involved with any future undertakings.
Stewart will be seen with Jesse Eisenberg (“Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice,” “Zombieland”) in the hallucinogenic its-so-bad-its-so-good movie “American Ultra.” The duo plays a stoner couple who gets hounded by the C.I.A. It makes them both realize that one of them is actually a “sleeper agent.”
According to Uproxx, Stewart enjoyed the second time that she shared the screen with Eisenberg.
“When we worked together on Adventureland, I loved it. We have happened to fall onto pictures that completely cater to what we already have going on,” Stewart said.
Sensing that the scope of her career has loomed closely on Meyer’s novel-to-movie versions, Stewart was encouraged to dabble on projects outside of the acting gamut.
In an interview with Nylon via People, the actress made it known that she really like playing the guitar and she has been involved with music a lot since last year. Will Stewart branch out to other creative ventures?
Kristen Stewart depicted the titular frontwoman Joan Jett in the biographical film “The Runaways” in 2010 so it would come as no wonder if she will carve her name in the music business anytime soon.
