Kurt Cobain, 27, was found dead at his home in Seattle on April 8, 1994. The lead singer of Nirvana was later declared as victim of suicide. It has been since then a debate of what really took his life. Fans across the world mourn his death till date. Popular belief surrounding his death had been that he was not able to cope up with personal and public pressure. Cobain was also addicted to heroin and was suffering depression.

Since the band’s debut with Kurt Cobain as songwriter, an estimated 75 million albums have been sold. Sadly, so much stardom might have been the reason for Cobain’s suicide. Cobain was married to Courtney Love at the time of his death. The couple had been married for only two years and have a daughter, Frances Bean Cobain.


There are many movies and books based on life of the late legendary musician Kurt Cobain, recent one being Kurt Cobain : Montage of Heck. It is a documentary by Brett Morgen on early days of late nirvana frontman, Cobain in Aberdeen, Washington to his success and downfall with the grunge band Nirvana. The movie aired on HBO on May 4, 2015 at 9pm.

One excerpt from the movie shows how eager Cobain and Love was to make a family. In the footage from the film, The Hole frontwoman has admitted that she and Cobain had only each other and they wanted to make the family as fast as possible. She is also seen admitting that she was pregnant with Frances when the couple married.

Frances, 22 is executive producer for the documentary and watched the documentary with her mother, Courtney love. Courtney Love shared her feelings with V Magazine saying that it was special and heart warming to watch it with Frances as it helps them strgthen their bond. An emotional Love also added, “I was very happy to spend a little time with him and to find out, to see things and hear audio, and see into his heart.”

Since Kurt Cobain died, Courtney Love, 50, didn’t marry anyone else. She also said that the film has really helped her find out what she wants from a relationship. “He’s a hard act to follow. I love him and I always will,” Courtney added.
