Lady Gaga Accepts Woman Of The Year Award At Billboard Women in Music
Lady Gaga is flying high with a 2016 Grammy nomination for yet another song. (She’s won six Grammys so far.) She has also earned a Golden Globe nomination this year and she is ending the year in style with her “Woman of the year” award from Billboard. She won the prestigious woman of the year award at Billboard’s “Women in Music” event, which is held annually every year.
Lady Gaga is known for her outrageous outfits and her pick for the Woman of the Year ceremony was no different. She wore a white tight skirt with a silk bra to the do. Many joked that she appeared to the show that way because she couldn’t find her blouse. But on the other hand, this obviously is a serious step down in the way of her costumes, which have been extremely outrageous so far. This one by far was the tamest she’s ever put on. You can check it out in the featured image. The face is out of view because her hair is blowing all over it, but it is still Gaga.
The Mother Monster told the people present at the event that all she had ever dreamt of doing was to be a performer. She also confessed to being a very emotional person. She told those present that artists have a lot of strength, but are intrinsically very emotional. She confessed to having had much support from her family, especially from her grandma.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Gaga she said that the music industry is still tough to crack into for women, but she wanted the music hopefuls to have the heart to do it. “And I hope that any young girl or boy that’s watching this tonight knows that — listen, this industry might never get better over time. There’s all kinds of problems all over the world. We can’t expect things to be perfect. But what you can do is have the heart. No matter what, you can have the heart. And it might be hard, and it might be ruthless, and it might be the ugliest thing you ever saw. But if you want it, you can do it,” she told everyone present.
