Lady Gaga Gears Up For Her Performance at the Oscars 2015
Since her advent, Lady Gaga has sold over 27 million a lbums, 130 million singles and over 4 million tickets globally to her award-winning live performances. She is the proud recipient of a total of six Grammy Awards, and this year’s Grammy was her most recent win. She won as Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for “Cheek to Cheek” in her 2014 collaboration with Tony Bennett, which debuted at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.
A little yoga workout is Lady Gaga’s way to prepare herself for her Oscars 2015 performance. The newly engaged singer posted a picture of herself on Instagram doing her yoga routine, with her knees by her face while lying on her back floating on a surfboard.
The Academy of Motion Pictures Art and Sciences announced on the Feb. 13, 2015 that the six-time Grammy award winner songwriter Lady Gaga will make a special tribute performance at the Oscars. This is the first time Lady Gaga has been invited to perform at the prestigious award-giving event, although she is not new to the big night of Hollywood. She has walked the red carpet of the Academy Awards last year.
“Lady Gaga is a once in a lifetime artist who’s musical evolution keeps growing. We are proud to have her perform on the Oscars for the very first time,” co-producers Neil Meron and Craig Zedon said in a statement, as published on InStyle.
The “Born This Way” singer posted a photo of her and Dawn Hudson, the CEO of Academy Awards, who dropped in to watch her rehearsal. She captioned it with: “I’m so honored Dawn Hudson, the CEO of Academy Awards, came by rehearsal today. It was such a wonderful surprise and I am so grateful for her support and the love of Craig and Neil during this beautiful process. it’s going to be an amazing show!”
Just days after her engagement with Taylor Kinney, the singer and songwriter flew from New York to Los Angeles on Tuesday.
