‘The Last Ship’ Franchise Worried About Rating Consistency For Season 3
“The Last Ship” the post-apocalyptic series was adored for the idea and inception when it premiered for the first time in 2014. But the action thriller hasn’t got connected very well with the viewers as it seems through the recent ratings. Read on to find out more about “The Last Ship”.
Well, to being with, the show is all about a few left people on the earth who are saved from a deadly pandemic virus which killed most of the worlds’ population. These few people are on board of a U.S. Navy ship. The first season had an average response with a rating of 1.0 and an estimated viewership of almost 4.4 million viewers.
The franchise managed to hold the viewership and audience interest for the start of the second season too. With nothing at loss, the series had a smooth run but also it did not attract more audience at the start, the ratings and viewership figures remained more or less the same. But they eventually dropped after the second half of series.
As reported by Cartermatt, the ratings for the start of second season got a hold of 0.7 ranging from 0.6 to 0.8 in a full run which is approximately 3 million viewers. The figures have definitely declined from the first season.
This is certainly not a nice figure that came out. It was when we it is speculated that franchise is already underway planning for Season 3. Although, no dates have been revealed about “The Last Ship” season 3 coming back on TNT as of now.
