‘The Last of Us 2’ Set To Be Released in 2017

One of the best games Sony released was “The Last of Us” in 2013. Indeed, the game has garnered a huge fan base. Its climatic story that captivated gamers has fuelled excitement for a sequel and it is very likely that it’s going to happen pretty soon.

Nolan North, voice actor was the first person who teased that “The Last of Us 2” is in the works during the Metrocon held in Tampa, Florida. This fuelled excitement and speculations on the game sequel. The game developer Naughty Dog also teased that their team is working on a sequel, which then later on confirmed that it is really happening. On the other hand, it’s still early days and the developer could still pull out from the said “project.”

There is also the fact to be considered that no one has confirmed yet whether or not “The Last of Us 2” is really happening. Neil Druckmann, the creative director of Naughty Dog said to the Officialy Playstation Magazine that he worked with director Bruce Starley to come up with title ideas as per GamesRadar.

To make things even more confusing, Naughty Dog was busy with “Uncharted 4,” which is set to be released spring of 2016 and it is a known fact that the developer takes 2-3 years before they release another game. So, that being said, if “Uncharted 4” is set to be released next year, then we are going to need to wait for 2-3 years before “The Last of Us 2.” That means that the sequel could arrive in 2017. That is, if the pattern is followed.

None of the creators have confirmed the news about “The Last of Us 2,” though but a game that is such a hit is definitely a great candidate for a sequel.
