Latest ‘The Force Awakens’ Fan Theory Now On Finn’s Parentage; As Fueled By Amazon

With the seventh installment a little more than a month away, it’s still not too late to involve the true ancestry of John Boyega’s first-names-only-basis Finn as cited by SuperBroMovies via Screen Rant.
A “Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens” 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle made a listing of Finn as the son of shrewd gambler/smuggler turned Rebel Alliance ally Lando Calrissian. He was portrayed in the 1980s trilogy by Billy Dee Williams.
Both “Star Wars” neophytes Finn and Daisy Ridley’s character Rey are mentioned particularly without there last names. A method which fans conclude will be the tip of an iceberg that connects them to an older story arc involving past characters and events in the “Star Wars” lore. In this case, Finn’s blood-relation to the original owner of the Millenium Falcon.
“I will only say about that that it is completely intentional that their last names aren’t public record,” Abrams was quoted regarding Finn and Rey’s lack of the family name.
Screen Rant, on the other hand, reported on the scheduled releases of upcoming “Star Wars” films. It includes “Rogue One: Star Wars Story” (Dec. 16, 2016), “Star Wars: Episode VIII” (May 26, 2017), the “Han Solo Star Wars Anthology” (May 25, 2018). Meanwhile, two more films will follow such as “Star Wars: Episode IX” in 2019 and the third “Star Wars Anthology” film in 2020.
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” will premiere on Dec. 18.
