‘Law & Order’ Star Zoe Saldana Joins The Cast of Magical Obsession Movie ‘I Kill Giants’
Earlier this Friday, the “Avatar” actress Zoe Saldana joined the cast of “I Kill Giants,” a graphic novel adaptation that follows a life of a young girl who always handles the real life situations by escaping into a new world of magic and monsters.
“I Kill Giants” Cast Update:
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Zoe Saldana will play the character of a school psychologist who tries to help the young girl to face her problems. Zoe is currently one of the busiest stars in Hollywood, with five films in pre-production, “I Kill Giants,” “Avatar 2,” “Avatar 3,” “Avatar 4,” and “Life By Night;” one in post-production “Nina;” and one on the floor “Star Trek Beyond,” Zoe is going to be sizzling on the silver screen for long time.
“True Detective” star, Madison Wolfe is going to play the role of the young giant slayer in “I Kill Giants.” Apparently, there are several production houses that are involved with the project at this moment and they are taking the casting process very seriously.
Madison was one of 500 different actresses considered for the role of protagonist, Barbara Thorson. They are taking under consideration only bankable stars. Halle Berry was even considered for one of the lead lady’s role but had to back down as she is not considered by production team as ‘bankable.’
“I Kill Giants” Plot Update:
The author of “I Kill Giants,” Joe Kelly has also penned down the script for the feature film. According to Kelly, Barbara Thorson is a funny girl but she is totally into the geekland. The young girl is obsessed with magical creatures and magical paths. In Barbara’s imagination, Giants are real and they are coming to this world of hers to destroy everything.
Author Joe Kelly added, “It’s her responsibility to stop them when they show up. This weird little fantasy life that she’s going has started sweeping into her real life, and as we see things from her point of view, we see that she sees pixies and she sees signs in the clouds and other things that might be telling her that bad things might be coming,” reported Empire Online!
Zoe Saldana’s “I Kill Giants” is yet to set a release date.
