Leonardo DiCaprio Acquired Rights For Making Flick On Volkswagen Scandal
The five times academy award winner Leonardo DiCaprio is in talks with Paramount Studios to develop a flick on the latest Volkswagen clean diesel emission scandal. It seems that the star has already assessed the possibilities of the ordeal in Hollywood. Read on to find out more exclusive revelation about the proposed flick by Leonardo DiCaprio.
The “Body of Lies” actor has already acquired the movie rights of the book that is yet to be written about the Volkswagen scandal by Jack Ewing, the New York Times journalist. The actor is already a famous name as an environmentalist seems to be the perfect person to take the ordeal as stated by Washington Times.
It is speculated that the untitled book will explore the plot line around how the idea of cheating software came up as a scandal to maintain the more, better, faster philosophy of the company.
The German automaker admitted of inserting cheating software in its 11 million vehicles which are specially designed for beating emission test. Anti-pollution system turned on during the test and turned them as the tests get over because of which the car performance did not suffer but polluted up to 40 times more than the limit.
The CEO of German automaker resigned from his long time post after the scandal broke out stating reasons that he was not aware of the scandal at all.
The company is yet to find out who the culprit is and what criminal proceedings or lawsuit filing will be done against them. Company is investigating the matter and are under way to reach out the wrongdoer.
