Mary Ellen Trainor and Oscar winner Robert Zemeckis got married in 1980. Trainor first appeared on screen when she played the role of Elaine, as suggested by director Michael Douglas, in the 1984 movie “Romancing the Stone.”

Another notable role that Trainor and her husband Zemeckis played was in collaboration for “Back to the Future Part II” in 1989. She was also casted for “Death Becomes Her” in 1992 and was also present in the Oscar best-picture awardee “Forrest Gump” in 1994. In an interview in 2013, Trainor was asked what her fondest memories were during the time she was working on “Goonies.” She said, “The shenanigans of the kids (Sean Astin, Corey Feldman, Jeff Cohen, Josh Brolin, Jonathan Ke Quan, et al). They all fell in love with each other. And Dick Donner encouraged that.”

On TV, Mary Ellen Trainor was also seen regularly on “Parker Lewis Can’t Lose,” “Relativity” on ABC and “Rosell” on UPN-WB.

The memorial service for Mary Ellen Trainor will be held on June 19 at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Montecito, reported Hollywood Life. The family of the late actress also requests that instead of flowers, donations should be given instead to The Wounded Warrior Project and to the Teddy Bear Cancer Foundation.
