Love And Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 Spoilers: Soulja Boy Quit; He Was Fired?
DeAndre Cortez Way, 26, who is professionally known as Soulja Boy, told his fans earlier this month that he quit Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3. However, this is contrary to what sources are saying.
Sources claim that Soulja Boy was actually fired from the VH1 reality series. This was after the rapper and actor took to social media to threaten to kill his girlfriend Nia Riley, which the producers of the show considered irresponsible and dangerous.
“Soulja Boy didn’t quit,” a source told The Jasmine Brand. “He was fired after he threatened Nia on social media, pulling out a gun.”
Another insider told the publication that the network and higher ups were furious when they saw what Soulja Boy had done. They had to fire the rapper because they would have felt partially responsible for not intervening if anything had happened to Riley and it was not the brand that neither VH1 nor the franchise wants to have, the insider explained.
The last episode Soulja Boy appeared in was Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 episode 8 titled Forgive or Forget, which aired on VH1 on Oct. 3. With the rapper as a guest star, the episode featured the issues of Princess with her estranged father, which were brought up by wedding planning.
On Sept. 19, Soulja Boy released his most recent mixtape titled King Soulja 6. The mixtape includes 23 tracks with Boosie Badazz, Chief Keef, Doe Boy, Kid Red, Mango Foo and Trill Sammy as featured artists.
Trap Queen rapper Fetty Wap and Michelle Mudarris appeared as guest stars in Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 episode 9 titled Retribution, which aired on Oct. 10. Diann Valentine was a guest star in Season 3 episode 10, which aired on Oct. 17.
Viewers will expect Hazel-E to return as a supporting cast member in Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood Season 3 episode 11 titled The Source, which will air on Oct. 24. They will also see Teairra Mari face her demons as well as the issues of Princess Love with Ray J and Sonja Norwood leading up to the marriage.
