Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shot After Atlanta Gig

Rapper Lil Wayne and several Young Money artists performed on stage in Atlanta and nailed it on Saturday. However, not everyone was happy when the star’s tour bus was shot.

TMZ reported that the tour bus of the rapper was shot early Sunday morning. This was after Lil Wayne performed at Compound nightclub in Atlanta, Georgia. Sources told the online news platform that the shooting incident took place around 3:30 A.M. This was only after a few minutes the rapper and his crew, including 2 tour buses, left the venue.

The report went on to say that Lil Wayne was on board in one of the two buses along with other Young Money artists including Lil Twist and Hood during the time when the shooting took place. According to sources, no one was hurt during the incident but it was not yet clear if Lil Wayne was on board the bus that was shot.

Sources from the law department told TMZ that the bus was driven to a nearby hotel after which the artist’s entourage immediately called the police. The sources also said that the people inside the bus did not see much. They could not point out who the suspects were. The only description they gave was there were 2 white vehicles in the area when the incident occurred. The vehicles could possibly be a Corvette or an SUV, sources said.

Meanwhile, authorities said they had not seen suspects in the crime scene. A spokesperson from the police department told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, “Witnesses could only provide a limited description of the suspect vehicles. They were described as two white vehicles, possibly a Corvette-style vehicle and an SUV.”

In a separate note, Billboard has also reached out to the representatives of Lil Wayne to comment regarding the shooting incident. Twitter was also rocked when reports of the shooting were tweeted. One fan, @dmorales09, tweeted “He better watch it, someone shot his residence in Miami not to long ago, someone is not happy with #LilWayne”.

Last month, TMZ also reported Lil Wayne’s mansion in Miami was also shot. The incident was the second time the police went to the rapper’s crib in a span of weeks following reports saying there was a suspicious person lurking outside his home.
