Lily Collins and Her Funny and Awkward Sex Scene in ‘Love, Rosie’

The “Mortal Instruments” and “Mirror Mirror” actress Lily Collins had some naughty and awkward sex scenes in her movie, “Love, Rosie.” Read on and learn more of the inside story below.

“It’s pretty sad, quick and to the point,” Collins told MTV in an interview while sharing her experiences when filming “Love, Rosie.”

The best-selling novel turned movie tells the story about a teenage love affair and coming-of-age; thus, nudity is involved according to MailOnline. The movie was directed by Christian Ditter, with a screenplay written by Juliette Towhidi based on the novel written by Cecilia Ahern.

Collins stars as Rosie Dunne, who falls in love with her best friend Alex Stewart, played by Sam Claflin. Rosie and Alex have been friends since they were five and was obviously meant to be together but can’t quite get it right. The two were separated when Alex moved to America, leaving their relationship with “just friends” status. They tried to keep the friendship despite the distance and dealing with their separate lives — Rosie had a relationship with Greg played by Christian Cooke and Alex with Bethany portrayed by supermodel and movie newcomer Suki Waterhouse. The movie promised to offer somewhat playful scenes fans of the book wouldn’t want to miss. One of the hilariously awkward part in the movie trailer was Greg and Rosie’s one-night stand after the school dance. Rosie then went on explaining to her friend that something unfortunate occurred.

“The condom came off inside my vagina and at present I’m unable to locate it,” said the flustered Rosie. She was then attended by a doctor named Dick. Now that is pretty awkward.

While it may seem not tricky at all, Collins admitted she felt awkward with the intimate scenes.

“I remember it being super awkward because it was the first week of shooting and I just met Christian Cooke, who’s lovely, but it’s like, ‘Okay, now you’re just going to get in bed,” the actress told MTV.

“Love Rosie” opens in theaters on Feb. 6, 2015.
