Lindsay Lohan Returns to Liz & Dick Set after Car Crash
Lindsay Lohan was involved in a vehicular accident that sent her to the hospital and her Porsche to the tow yard. According to reports, the actress was behind the wheel when it collided with a semi-trailer truck.
The Porsche was a total wreck and people were surprised that Lohan was able to walk out of the hospital on her own and returned to the set of the Liz & Dick movie. She plays the role of Elizabeth Taylor in the Lifetime movie.
According to Steve Honig, Lohan’s rep, the actress was brought to the Santa Monica UCLA hospital as a precaution. Doctors found out that she was fine and was released less than two hours after she was brought in. She head back to the movie set to resume work. It was fortunate that no one was injured in the accident.
Aside from Lindsay Lohan, Liz & Dick features Grant Bowler as Richard Burton. It has been shooting in Malibu and Lohan was on her way to the set with her assistant Gavin Doyle in the passenger seat when her car collided with the truck.
Santa Monica Police responded to an emergency call made at 11:42 a.m. They found out that neither driver had been drunk. Lohan complained of pain, which is why she was brought to the Santa Monica UCLA hospital. Doyle was also brought to the hospital because of visible minor injuries.
The truck driver was not injured. Both vehicles were northbound on Pacific Coast Highway when Lohan’s Porsche hit the back of the truck. This was according to the official police report of the accident. Liz & Dick executive producer Larry Thompson confirmed that the actress was back on the set. While Lohan was still at the hospital, the crew were shooting around her and waited to hear about her condition.
