‘Lion Heart’ And ‘You Think’ Singles Of ‘Girls’ Generation’ Tops Charts

The South Korean girl group “Girls’ Generation” aka “SNSD,” is in news as its two new singles became number 1 by getting top positions on the music charts within no time. “Lion Heart,” the first single of the girls’ latest album, reached to number 1 position soon after its release. In the same way, the second track, “You Think” of the same album too gained first position.

Currently, “Lion Heart” is on the top position of five real time music charts namely Genie, Bugs Music, Naver Music, Soribada, and Monkey3, while, “You Think” is topping Mnet and Olleh Music charts by placing the first one to the second place.


“Lion Heart” having 60’s retro beats was released on August 18 at noon and easily acquired the number 1 position by 6 PM KST. The lyrics of the song talks about a girlfriend’s wish to tame a lion, meaning her boyfriend, who is continuously looking at other girls. Whereas, the girls launched the second title track “You Think” on August 19 at 0 AM KST, after seeing that their 5th studio album’s first song is becoming a huge success. Both the songs have been getting amazing reviews.

KBS Music Bank will officially start promoting the group’s latest album “Lion Heart” from August 21 onwards. The “Girls’ Generation” group, which was formed by S.M. Entertainment, has Yoona, Taeyeon, Hyoyeon, Yuri, Sunny, Tiffany, Sooyoung and Seohyun as members and the group came to lime-light with its debut album with the same name.

The group works in the genres of K-pop, Bubblegum pop and Electropop and has given many popular singles till date. Some of the singles which topped the music chart boxes are: “Into the New World” , “Gee”, “Tell Me Your Wish (Genie)”, “Oh!”, and “Run Devil Run,  “Mr. Taxi, “Hoot”,  “The Boys, “Flower Power”, All My Love Is for You”, “Love & Girls” and “Galaxy Supernova”.
