"Attack on Titan" is a popular manga series which has spawned its own anime series, which was also aired on Adult Swim.  The story is set a world populate by men and Titans, giant humanoids, about 3–15 meters tall, which are usually masculine in body shape but without reproductive organs, which instinctively attack and eat humans on sight. However, they do not prey on them for food. In order to survive, humanity has lived in peace for 100 years inside three enormous concentric walls: Wall Maria, Wall Rose and Wall Sheena.  In order to combat the titans, the military uses a tethering system called Vertical Maneuvering Equipment, which allows them to jump onto walls, trees or nearby buildings to attack Titans. The military is divided into three branches with different goals: the Survey Corps, which goes out into Titan territory in order to try to reclaim the land; the Garrison Regiment, which guards the walls and the civilian populace; and the Military Police Brigade, which guards the royal family and live a relatively relaxed life.

"Attack on Titan" centers on the adventures of Eren Yeager, his adopted sister Mikasa Ackerman and their friend Armin Arlert. After the wall which protects their hometown of Shinganshina is breached by Titans, Eren watches in horror as one of them eats his mother. Vowing to kill all Titans, Eren enlists in the military’s Survey Corps along with his friends. However, later on the series, Eren develops the ability to transform into the very creature he hates — a Titan. Others who are discovered to be able to transform into Titans have begun seeking Eren for some unknown purpose. As the story progresses, the truth behind the origin of the Titans arises, and the story shifts to one about political subterfuge.

"Attack on Titan" is set to open in Japan in summer of 2015.
