‘London Has Fallen’ & ‘Jane Got a Gun’ Finally Set To Release In 2016
There have been few shifts in the dates of the most awaited upcoming movies lined up in the following months ahead like “Jane Got a Gun” and “London Has Fallen.” The action sequel “London Has Fallen” release date is said to be postponed to Mar. 4, 2016 year where is will battle with the movies like “Triple Nine” “Grimsby” and “Zootopia.” Read on to find out more about the scoop ahead.
It is not for the first time that release dates of “London Has Fallen” have been pushed, the movie actually had been planned to hit the theaters on Oct. 2, 2015 and later it was moved to Jan. 22, 2016 to avoid clash with Ridley Scott’s “The Martian” and now as it is announced the dates are further pushed to Mar. 4, 2016.
“London Has Fallen” is directed by Babak Najafi and is a sequel to “Olympus Has Fallen.” Focus Features another, division of Universal Studios has allegedly pushed the release dates of the sequel, as stated by Collider. The movie plots around Agent Mike Banning return to U.S. Secret Service for investigating the assassination plan at prime ministers’ funeral.
It is not just “London Has Fallen,” there is another flick “Jane Got a Gun” also seem to be troubled with the release dates. The film features Natalie Portman in the lead role directed by Gavin O’Connor. The movie was initially planned with Lynne Ramsay as the director but she left the project on day one even with the actors shuffling around the roles.
Later that year, Relativity Media went bankrupt failing to distribute the movie. The rights were later taken over by The Weinstein Company which has scheduled the movie to release in Feb. 2016.
