Lost City of Z Updates: Sienna Miller, Charlie Hunnam and Robert Pattinson Spotted Filming at Ballintoy
When it comes to filming movies, particularly if it’s a period piece, or a film which spans different areas of the world, it is not uncommon to see actors and actresses in a particular location for several given scenes. This, of course, causes fans of these particular actors and actresses to become excited, as they all hope to catch a glimpse of them, especially if they are filming in an area nearby. With regards to the upcoming film, “The Lost City of Z”, which has already begun to film, fans of the stars of the period film in Belfast, and in Northern Ireland, will be pleased to hear that stars such as Charlie Hunnam, Robert Pattinson, and Sienna Miller have been spotted once again somewhere in Northern Ireland. Last month, according to a report on Movie News Guide (MNG), “Sons of Anarchy” and “Pacific Rim” star Charlie Hunnam was spotted around town in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and gamely posed for pictures with several of his fans.
However, he was there in preparation for his upcoming role as the Victorian adventurer and explorer Colonel Percy Fawcett, in the Brad Pitt-produced film.
The movie, which stars Sienna Miller, “Twilight’s” Robert Pattinson, and “Spider-Man’s” Tom Holland, tells the story of Fawcett. He is an explorer in the 1920s, who gets lost in the Amazon jungles. It was after launching an expedition to find a mythical Amazonian city, which he claimed to have been on the right track off in an earlier expedition.
Pattinson, according to UTV, will be portraying Fawcett’s partner in the expedition, Henry Costin, while Miller will be portraying Fawcett’s wife, Nina. The upcoming actor Holland will be portraying Fawcett’s young son, Jack Fawcett.
Just recently,according to UTV, Hunnam and Pattinson, along with Miller, were spotted in the seaside village of Ballintoy, in Northern Ireland, as they were there to film several scenes for the movie.
Hunnam was spotted with his hair slicked back, in a period coat and suit costume, and sporting a mustache, while his onscreen wife, Miller, was pictured wearing a black embellished dress, and a white hat.
According to the reports on both UTV and the Coleraine Times, this is not the first time that Ballintoy has been used as a location to shoot scenes for period pieces, as the hit HBO television series, “Game of Thrones” has shot some scenes in Ballintoy as well.
