‘Lucifer’ Moving On Ahead to TV

Finally, an agreement has been made after a couple of negotiations, Fox and Warner Bros. TV have sealed the deal for “Lucifer” TV series.

From Tom Kapinos “(Californication”), the comic book drama “Lucifer” is now headed into series and the project includes Jerry Bruckheimer Television and Len Wiseman. Wiseman (“Sleepy Hollow”) will direct the pilot of “Lucifer” as well as produce it together with Kapinos, Jonathan Littman and Jerry Bruckheimer, as he is the executive producer. Joining them as well is KristieAnne Reed to co-executive produce.

“Lucifer” is based on the characters by Neil Gaiman, Sam Kieth and Mike Drigenberfg for DC Entertainment’s Vertigo imprint. It will focus on the life of Lucifer when he got bored and unsatisfied being the Lord of Hell and he abandons his throne and kingdom to live in Los Angeles where he finds satisfaction in helping the LAPD punish the criminals.

It’s the season for DC Comics’ characters and superheroes as there are plenty of networks who have greenlit pilots for other DC Comics series such as “Supergirl” while we have some Marvel characters as well that will be brought to life on television such as “A.K.A Jessica Jones,” “Daredevil” and “Dreadstar.” These are all hosted by different networks and production companies.

“Lucifer” seems like a good idea as it will shed light on a different side of the evil king who with his voice alone can manage to raise goosebumps and simply defines evil. DC Comic fans are more than thrilled that they are bringing it onto TV while those who are not fans of the comic book are interested to follow the life of “Lucifer” in Los Angeles.
