‘Mansfield Park’ Star Frances O’Connor Joins Star Cast of ‘The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist’
Frances O’Connor, the “Mansfield Park” and “Blessed” fame actress has joined the star cast of the upcoming movie “The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist,” a sequel to the 2013 hit horror movie, “The Conjuring.” Read on to know more details.
As per The Hollywood Reporter, a joining confirmation related to the name of Frances O’Connor came to light where it was said that Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson, both the main protagonists who have already confirmed about reprising their roles as Lorraine Warren and Ed Warren, respectively, have been joined by the “A.I. Artificial Intelligence” actress, .
A report by Cinema Blend highlighted that the role offered to O’Connor is very important to the story. She will play the role of a mother to a 11-year-old girl who is witnessing haunting incidents and desperately need help. So, again the help will be provided by the Warrens who are paranormal investigators and authors associated with prominent cases of haunting.
James Wan will look after the direction part of the movie, whereas the production part will be seen by Rob Cowan, Tony DeRosa-Grund and Peter Safran. Chad Hayes and Carey Hayes are the script writers for the much awaited movie, but revisions were made by David Leslie Johnson.
UTA, Wishlab and UK’s ARG repped the 48-year-old actress who was recently seen on Television shows like “Mr. Selfridge” and “The Missing.” With “The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist,” the actress is also waiting for her upcoming TV show titled “Cleverman.”
The movie is based on the infamous “Enfield Poltergeist” incident that happened at a council house in Brimsdown village, borough of Enfield, England in the late 1970s. The shoot for the same is starting from the end of September this year and it is scheduled for release on June 10, 2016.
Well, with all these inputs one thing is sure that the film “The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist,” is going to rock the floor just like the original film. Not only the team, but also horror movies’ fans are eagerly waiting for it.
