Mariah Carey Accused Of Lip-Syncing At Thanksgiving Day Parade
Mariah Carey, the fashionista and superstar, simply dazzled at the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade held on Thursday, November 26. As the vehicle moved on the streets of New York City, she crooned holiday anthem “All I Want Is Christmas Is You.” But some fans are lambasting her on social media for lip syncing. Read the story!
The 45-year-old Carey had worn a figure-hugging red color dress on the occasion. She teamed the dress with a white jacket and nice gloves. She also flaunted her heavy jewelry, which accentuated her beauty overwhelmingly. Watch the video below! It looked every bit a perfect performance and she was in all smiles at the Thanksgiving Day Parade. But some fans could not stop suspecting lip-synching and caused a hubbub on Twitter accusing the superstar.
A woman tweeted , “Thank goodness Mariah Carey got to lip sync today because we all know that voice isn’t what it used to be.” There were many similar tweets made for Carey’s performance.
Some other celebrities have also come under the scrutiny of fans at Thanksgiving Day Parade 2015. One of them being Chris Daughtry. Fans blamed him of lip-synching “Long Live Rock and Roll.” But Daughtry has admitted in a subtle manner that he lip-synched. He said, “And so did EVERYBODY ELSE!” on Twitter.
According to Daily News, celebrities at Thanksgiving Day Parade often choose to lip-sync while pre-recorded songs play from the backdrop and away from the sight of the crowd. They choose it this way owing to cold weather, and there are several logistic challenges that they would have to face if they choose to sing live.
Mariah Carey had last year faced a lot of trouble singing high notes at Rockefeller Center’s annual tree lighting ceremony. She was left out of breath while singing. Then also she was criticized on social media for bad performance.
