The outcome of making marriages at the “Married at First Sight” TV show is at its worst right now. Majority of the couples who tied the knots at this podium have already legally separated, leaving behind a few who have reportedly filed for divorce. Now it looks like Nine’s programming director, Andrew Backwell is in quandary whether to continue with the show or not. Read below to get a scoop of it.

In the FYI show “Married at First Sight,” the experts set the marriages among the participants after a lot of rounds. However, the couples are said to have never met before, hence knowing each other’s background, history and character remain shrouded in mystery.

The show indeed was getting good response for its unique concept that compelled Backwell to plan for another season. He even had declared the entry of same-sex couples, which became a sensational issue to the countries like Australia where same-sex marriage is not legal. However, as Vine Report stated earlier, a lack of announcement for its continuation fingers to the end of the show.

According to The Gospel Herald, “Married at First Sight” Season 1 attracted 1,000 applicants, whereas season 2 was able to attract seven times more applicants than the previous season. After the selection and termination at the initial steps, the potential participants are invited to final callbacks, which are referred as “workshops” by the producers.

Chris Coelen, the executive producer said in an interview with People that “Married at First Sight” season 3 had pulled in 20,000 applicants. He also added that season 3 would be documented in Atlanta. But it is very hard to believe that season 3 is actually going to happen. Let’s wait and watch.
