Marvel Studios Possibly Pushing Back Thor 3 for 2017

Fans of the golden-haired Avenger will really have their patience put to the test as “Thor 3” appears to be way away before it starts production. Read further to learn more about this story.

With the revelation of many Marvel films on the years to come, it is no surprise that fans of the fair-haired demigod are asking when the last sequel of “Thor,” “Thor 3,” will take place. Last January 2014, Marvel announced that the people assigned for the screenplay of the third installment are Christopher Yost and Craig Kyle.

It would seem like that’s the last of the riveting update for the “Thor” franchise. Initially, we would think that “Thor 3” will be taking over one of the two 2016 release dates that were reserved by Marvel, but based on the recent announcements made by the highly reputable studio, it would seem that the next “Thor” movie won’t be due until 2017 as reported by Screen Rant.

Among the many announcements that Marvel Studios gave away into the recently held San Diego Comic-Con 2014, the studio seems to have only teased about the notions on the upcoming films, but nothing concrete for fans to place their hopes upon. They were more focused in giving great previews for the “Avengers 2” and “Ant-Man” movies. Plus, they’ve confirmed the slot of “Guardians of the Galaxy 2” for 2017, but then what really comes for “Thor 3”?

“I hope we’re doing another one. I think we’re doing another one. I don’t know anything official as of yet, but I’m looking forward to it,” said Chris Hemsworth, as published on Screen Crush, during the red carpet interview at Comic-Con.

Despite the vagueness of the creation of “Thor 3,” many are still hopeful for the production process to kick off for this formidable Marvel movie. In another interview at Comic-Con 2014, Hemsworth also hinted that there’s still a lot of time for him to do other things apart from re-assuming his role as the hammer-wielding Avenger. True enough, the Australian actor has recently signed up for the prequel of the “Snow White and The Huntsman” — “The Huntsman.” Perhaps this is what he meant when he said that he’s still got a lot of time — a lot of time before he gets back on his sci-fi superhero stead.

Be that as it may, fans will have to wait for further and concrete updates on the production of the third installment of “Thor.” There you have it for the updates about “Thor 3.” Continue to visit Movie News Guide (MNG) for the latest updates on the entertainment industry.
