Marvel’s ‘Ant Man’ Wraps Production

Marvel’s “Ant Man” can now concentrate on the post-production phase of the film as they’ve finally confirmed completing the production phase of the movie. Read on to know more about this scoop.

Marvel must have probably garnered the most talked about studio spot for this year. They started off with the teases about the announced upcoming films and the plotted dates for unannounced films. Everyone was raving about the updates for their confirmations. Starting off about updates regarding the wrapping up of the production for “Avengers: Age of Ultron” to the release of its official trailer, the studio also confirmed their Phase Three projects which unveiled the titles of their upcoming films with their corresponding release dates. Robert Downey Jr.’s Tony Star will be fighting Chris Evan’s Steve Rogers in “Captain America: Civil War.” Plus, there’s also the latest announcement about Benedict Cimberbatch who is confirmed to play the lead in “Doctor Strange.” Just when you think Marvel is done with all its cinematic updates, helmsman for “Ant–Man,” Peyton, Reed made the public announcement that the production phase is complete.


According to Screen Rant, Peyton Reed made the successive announcement on his Twitter account regarding the wrap-up of the production for “Ant–Man.” On his first tweet that has been retweeted over 154 times, he said, “Ladies and gentlemen, that is an ANT-MAN picture wrap for Mr. Paul Rudd!” A couple of hours later it was then followed by “And that's it! Principal photography on ANT-MAN is now complete. The ants have left the building. Stay tuned…”  

By Variety, the principal photography for “Ant–Man” began last Aug. 19, 2014. It took place in San Francisco. However, the main shooting location for the film was in Atlanta. The entire production has definitely gone through a lot. Despite the sudden setback of the film with Edgar Wright stepping down from his helmsman duties, the film still managed to carry itself towards completion.

The film stars Paul Rudd who plays the lead role as Scott Lang. He is co-starred by Evangeline Lilly, Michael Douglas, and Corey Stoll. “Ant-Man” is set to open in theaters next year on July 17, 2015.
