MCU: Chris Pratt, Benedict Cumberbatch and Others Who Got in Shape for Superhero Roles
Playing an MCU superhero does not come at an easy price. Marvel actors currently underwent a complete transformation and then charmed everyone.
With Marvel Cinematic Universe comprising of multiple major movie stars, here is a list of actors who got in shape before taking on the superhero genre.
Chris Pratt is the best example of an actor who completely changed himself for the good. He used to be extremely fat and probably would never have played a role like Star-Lord in the MCU.
He lost a lot of weight, beefed up and to everyone’s surprise debuted as Star-Lord. The movie made really big bucks at the box office and his transformation also got him other big roles. Pratt became the star of Jurassic World, which also made a billion at the box office.

The actor is known as a lean guy in general. But when he was going to play Doctor Strange in this year’s Doctor Strange, he went on a strict diet.
Fans also saw his lean and slightly muscular frame in the movie, which just made him look even better.
Before he did Ant-Man, Rudd was known as a rather funny man. He managed to keep his comic timing in the movie but also changed his body completely.
Inspired by Chris Pratt, Rudd flaunted his abs in a scene and the result was phenomenal. At first, fans would not have taken Paul Rudd for a superhero. But when he debuted, he did complete justice to the character.
Chris Evans in MCU’s Captain America
Chris Evans was fit even before he became Captain America. But once he got the role, he started to gain serious muscle. With hunk like Chris Hemsworth walking around, Evans must have been motivated automatically.
Chris Evans beefed up and now is practically irreplaceable as Captain America.
Coming Soon reported that Marvel Co-President Louis D’Esposito teased that he is in the coolest Avengers: Infinity War meeting ever. According to the outlet, both Avengers: Infinity War Part I and II will be shot together as it remains to be seen how events unfold in the movies.
