Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain: Richer Gameplay, Smarter Ambience
Metal Gear Solid 5: The Phantom Pain will be out soon and fans would love to know more about the new game. The open world action adventure game is all set to hit the streets on the first of September this year.
In the new game, players will play the role of “Punished Venom Snake,” also known as “Big Boss.” As in other games of the series, the player will have to use stealth and cunning to remain undetected. The game expects the players to use non-lethal means of subduing enemies like tranquilizer darts and expects players to use stealth more often than offence. Snake can also call other characters for help which includes a supernaturally endowed female sniper, a horse to carry weaponry, and a wolf that was acquired by Snake as a pup and has been trained to be a ferocious attacker. You can also call for more weapons and a mobile platform to keep the weapons. The effectiveness of the weapons and the AI companions will depend on player’s skill and talent in handling them. As in other releases of the game, this game also offers a module where players can build their own weapons.
The game has the new feature of taking in real time and appropriately setting the night and day cycle of the game. The time taken by the player to get from one location to the other also sets the time of the day at which he arrives on the new location.
IGN calls this a perfect game giving it a 10 on 10. IGN goes on to say that the gameplay systems in this game are richer and meatier than any seen in the previous games of the series.
Despite having a deceptively simple storyline, Polygon reports that the game will be somewhat hard to follow for new players. The game will be released for Xbox One, Xbox 360, Playstation 4, Playstation 3, and PC.
