‘Metal Gear Solid V’ Cast Heads To L.A. For The Game Awards 2015; Indicates Major Award For The Game
Hardcore fans of “Metal Gear Solid” took notice of the cast for the latest franchise, “The Phantom Pain,” flew off to Los Angeles to attend The Game Awards 2015. The said activity is quite unusual, unless a big award is on its way.
The cast of “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” heads out to The Game Awards 2015, including Big Boss actor Kiefer Sutherland, The Verge reported. Konami seems to be expecting a big win. Aside from Sutherland, Quiet’s Stefanie Joosten and soundtrack singer Donna Burke will also be in attendance. Several Twitter post has confirmed their attendance. For the icing on the cake, “MGS” director Hideo Kojima will also be there for a special announcement.
Bringing in all the factors, this set of very busy people will not take a day off just to watch a gaming awards, with nothing for them. Unless they are simply hard core gamers who wants to witness a piece of gaming history.
As one Redditor would say, “why would an A-list celebrity [like Sutherland] show up if he hadn’t already been tipped off as a winner?” As a common fact, Kiefer is heavily busy nowadays promoting his new film “Forsaken,” while doing another project after “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain,” to be released in the year 2016.
Gamers can view a live stream of the event on Twitch and YouTube at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT. “Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” is expected to surpass the games like “Fallout 4” and “The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt” to achieve immense success.
“Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain” is nominated for five categories in the upcoming event. These are, best action-adventure game, best soundtrack, best art direction, developer of the year, and, of course, game of the year, as explained by Design and Trend.
