Miley Cyrus: The Bangerz Tour Concert Special on NBC Didn’t Rake in the Ratings

A free Miley Cyrus concert on TV? Sounds like good news… or so NBC thought. Surprisingly, it didn’t bring what the network expected. It seemed like that this concert special that aired on the July 4, 2014 did not rake in such high ratings and was even beaten up by NBC’s shows that aired last week on the same time slot. So what does this mean and how did Miley Cyrus reacted to this? Read on for the further details.

According to E! Online, the NBC special “Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour” did not bring in the ratings that the network had expected before they air her concert special. It just brought in 2 million viewers and a 0.7 ratings in the adults 18-40 demo.

To make things worse, the last episode of “Last Comic Standing,” which aired last week in the same time slot, gained 3.4 million viewers and a 1.1 rating. Oh, that burns, Miley! The good news was that she still saw the glass half full, which was a pretty good attitude to handle things, and we admired her for that.

However, the singer/actress was still thankful for the fans who watched her concert special, and she herself was one of the viewers. That’s the spirit, Miley! NBC may not have gotten the ratings that they expected out of her concert special, but wassn’t it just comforting that 2 million viewers still tuned in and watched it? There’s the silver lining, and of course, Miley was such a good sport.

“The Bangerz Tour” had just wrapped up its European tour in Amsterdam, and it will return stateside on August 01, 2014, kicking it off at Long Island. And we know for sure that this is going to rock! Maybe viewers prefer to watch it live.

On the bright side, it did not do very poorly. Have you watched it? Feel free to share us your thoughts by posting your comments below!
