The Mindy Project Season 3 Recap: Panic Womb

Pregnancy can be a tricky thing especially for two couples who often have different opinions on almost everything. In “The Mindy Project” Season 3 Episode 18 “Panic Womb” Danny and Mindy’s differences were out the test again, was it fight or flight? Read below for the full recap:

Mindy and Danny have different pregnancy styles. Mindy wants to keep eating whatever she wants. On the other hand,  Danny wants her to have a new lifestyle, a healthier one that would be good for her and the baby. He then gave Mindy a book titled “Panic Womb” for her to get the idea, but we all know that Mindy can be stubborn. At the same time, she’s been having terrible morning sickness. Morgan even sent her a bucket for her to puke on.

Debating on lifestyle changes, they called Peter via Skype. He is Mindy’s doctor but apparently he was in Texas at the moment. Peter told them that with Mindy’s weight and age, she has higher risks of developing geatric obese pregnancy. Mindy was so mad to hear this because she thoughts Peter would side with her. Still, Peter knows what’s best for Mindy and setting aside Mindy’s protests, he put Danny in charge of Mindy’s diet, which made Danny very happy.

Mindy wasn’t thrilled with that idea. Then, she brought up Danny’s smoking habit that he hasn’t been able to quit yet. Danny was up for the challenge. He told her that he will quit and if he finds himself about to smoke, Mindy, Jeremy and Tamra has his permission to shoot him with a BB gun.

Meanwhile, with Peter being in Texas his position at the hospital is vacant and interviews for a doctor has been going on. Mindy, on the other hand, is also busy with her fertility clinic. They interviewed Dr. Suzanne Phillips played by Vanessa Williams but the interview didn’t go well and she end up not taking the job.

Mindy was still having bouts of morning sickness and her new diet was such a struggle. Accidentally, she threw up on the doctor whom she was about to interview for Peter’s position. The doctor told him kindly that her morning sickness is more of like stress induced. He told Danny that he should handle Mindy’s pregnancy more gently because the way he’s doing it now is stressing her out. They like the doctor and hired him on the spot. However, they didn’t tell Jeremy and it seems like this doctor and Morgan doesn’t like each other. This is going to be a problem.

In the end, the two patched things up and opened up as to why they were acting like that: they were both scared because having a baby isn’t that easy. Still, the two managed to comfort and secure each other tighter than ever.
