Missing Singer Craig Strickland Had Premonition That He Might Not Return From The Hunting Trip?
The 29-year-old singer, Craig Strickland is missing since December 26. He has gone on a hunting expedition and has not returned since. Craig Strickland has been part of “Backroad Anthem,” a country rock band formed in 2012, since its inception.
Though nothing has been known about Strickland’s whereabouts, sadly, his close friend, Chase Morland, 22, has been killed, reports Hollywoodlife.com. The two have embarked the trip during winter storm on December 16. It has been learnt that they had gone duck hunting to Kaw Lake while warnings have been released that the area can witness flood or heavy rain over the weekend.
Unaware of what was about to come, they also joked online that it might get difficult for them to return. “In case we don’t come back, @BackroadCRAIG and I are going right through Winter Storm Goliath to kill ducks in Oklahoma. #IntoTheStorm.” The tweet was made on December 26 by singer’s pal, Morland.
The tweet also had a happy face emoji that has a sweat drop on the head. It seems that duo had guessed that the weather could turn really bad before they make it back home. Many are suggesting that they had premonition that they would not be able to come back from the hunting trip.
According to MailOnline, on December 28, the authorities were able to trace the duo’s boat overturned in the area and Morland’s dead body was also found later. There is no clue where is Craig Strickland. The authorities could only find his dog, Sam at a nearby safe place.
The search is not finished yet and authorities would search every nook and cranny but “Backroad Anthem” band mates, and family members are really worried and they can’t stop fearing worse. Fans have been reaching to “Backroad Anthem” Facebook page to extend their support to the band mates and family members at this hour of adversity.
