Nashville the musical drama television series is coming back soon with season 5, although with a bumpy start. The latest teaser released by CMT unveiled a few glimpses of the upcoming season which look quite interesting.

Nashville Season 5 Teaser

The teaser revealed that Juliette’s plane which goes missing in the last episode is in big trouble. The plane hits major turbulence and moments later Rayna, Deacon, and the kids get the news of the crash. (Via Yahoo)

Furthermore, it is seen that Scarlett and Gunnar will have a burdened talk while Maddie and Deacon having a heart-to-heart chat. The series will introduce a new character Jakob Fine which will be played by Murray Bartlett.

Creator and executive producer Callie Khouri noted that, everyone on the board is happy with the changes. The team is making efforts to revive the series and make it feel real and connecting to the audience.

In addition to this, he also mentioned that season 5 will be more emotional and less like a soap opera. However, it will still bring out dramatic moments in the stories.

The previous season has received generally positive ratings and good reviews from critics Sadly, ABC canceled the series in May this year. CMT then picked up Season 5 and ordered 22 episodes for the run.

The entire cast members have returned to reprise their roles except Will Chase and Aubrey Peeples.

Nashville will make its CMT debut with a special a two-hour premiere episode is titled as The Wayfaring Stranger. It will air on Thursday, January 5, at 9/8c.
