NBA TRADE NEWS: DWIGHT HOWARD UNSATISFIED WITH ROLE IN HOUSTON, COULD SOUTH BEACH BE HIS NEXT DESTINATION?
Houston we have a problem and the problem is Dwight Howard.
Howard who is on third year run with the Houston Rockets is reported to be dissastisfied with his wingman role in Clutch City.
“Dwight Howard is extremely unhappy in Houston playing second fiddle to alpha dog James Harden, multiple league sources,” Chris Sheridan of Sheridan Hoops revealed.
The hit-or-miss NBA Analyst also added that, “with the Rockets underachieving more than any NBA team, look for them to try to move Howard later this season.”
Howard an eight-time All-Star and three-time Defensive Player of the year now only ranks a lowly fifth on the Rockets shots per game in which he averages a measly a paltry 8.3 shots in an offense with the name of James Harden stamped onto it.
A possible scenario mentioned is that Howard can be that missing piece for a 30-something triumvirate of Dwayne Wade and Chris Bosh in the Miami Heat. This comes as to no surprise as the Heat’s big man, Hassan Whiteside will become a free agent this coming summer and with the NBA salary cap ballooning to almost $90 million next year, it’s expected Whiteside will indulge himself with the much-awaited turn out.
The South Beach basketball franchise are also looking forward to a cap space windfall but will likely not be able to hand-out anything lucrative to Whiteside who had a juggernaut of a performance last mid-season.
NBC Sports mentioned that Howard can chose to leave the Rockets camp this summer especially with the latter having a young blood center in Clint Capela. Capela is nine year younger than the Black Superman. The best action for Houston will be to trade Howard when he is still highly-regarded for.
