NBA Trade Rumors: Los Angeles Lakers D’Angelo Russell Injury Not Serious; Kobe Bryant Returning After Injury
The Los Angeles Lakers rookie point guard D’Angelo Russell’s injury is not considered to be serious. Julius Randle, Metta World Peace and Brandon Bass would start the game for the team with Kobe Bryant.
According to SWR, the Los Angeles Lakers believe D’Angelo Russell to be a future star player. The rookie point guard’s performance in the training camp and workouts during this summer has been incredible
Based on a report from ESPN.com, Russel suffered a bruised glute injury in the game against the Jazz on October 6. He was hit by Jazz center Rudy Gobert. However, a Lakers spokesman revealed that the rookie point guard would heal up and come back very soon. CBS SPORTS reported that Russell has “shown improvement” even after his injury.
The Los Angeles Lakers are already dealing with several players who suffered injuries in the preseason, according to SWR. Julius Randle suffered a serious knee injury, and Kobe Bryant had a shoulder surgery. Also, players such as Nick Young, Anthony Browns, Marcelo Huertas, and Jabari Brown are all also banged up. Fortunately, Julius Randle and Kobe Bryant are coming back after their recovery.
Bryant’s absence proved to be a major issue for the Lakers. He has made an excellent performance for the team last year, when he was fit. If the player can stay fit, the team would definitely improve more.
