NBA Trade Rumors: Phoenix Suns To Keep Markieff Morris?

Markieff Morris may be a little peeved off that the Phoenix Suns’ management tried to trade him, but he isn’t going anywhere anytime soon. While the management talked about the idea of trading him, he told the press that he liked his team and wanted to stay with it.

Markieff Morris was expecting to be traded. The General Manager for the Phoenix Suns, Ryan McDonough, has unceasingly tried to trade him off to another team, but has found no takers. So the press naturally expected Markieff Morris to spout off venom for Ryan McDonough, but the player decided to not talk about it and instead decided to tell everybody that he was happy to be a part of Phoenix Suns.

When asked if he and Ryan had been able to patch it up, Markieff told the press that they should ask McDonough about it. McDonough wasn’t very forthcoming either. He told the press that players sometimes get upset with the front office because of these trades, but the front office is only trying to do what is best for the team. It is his job to put the most talent in the court for the team and if that kind of strategy ruffles some feathers, so be it.

It was insinuated that Markieff is a bit disgruntled with his current team. He was expecting to be together with his brother Marcus Morris who has recently moved to Detroit Pistons. Whether or not these rumors were true, but it is true that the Phoenix Suns management was also trying to get rid of him.

Apparently, with the Summer ending and the preseason approaching, the team is more or less stuck with Markieff Morris. Morris will obviously have to show them that he still has got the chops to keep them interested.
