NBA Trade Rumors: Toronto Raptors Trades DeMar Derozan In Exchange For Kevin Durant Of Oklahoma City Thunder?
The Toronto Raptors are rumored to trade their superstar DeMar DeRozan in exchange for Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder.
According to Bleacher Report, DeMar DeRozan, who has the most acceptable trade value, has been the best trade option for the Toronto Raptors. Indeed, the Raptors have considered trading one of their core players as they have “already committed more money” to DeMarre Carroll and Terrence Ross.
Based on Toronto Sun, DeRozan would look for a $23.5 million worth max contract by next season. He scored an average of 20.8 points and 4.4 rebounds per game when playing for 36.1 minutes a night. Indeed, the 26-year-old shooting guard has been the superstar of the Raptors since the past four years. Moreover, he has the more reliable player for the team during their struggling period.
Whether the Raptors trading DeRozan is still not a confirmed one, since the shooting guard proves to the team’s more reliable superstar. Moreover, the team might not trade players as the they have a good record (10 wins and six losses) and as there is more possibility for the team to “join the top teams in a stacked Eastern Conference.”
In addition, it seems that DeRozan might not be interested in moving away from the Raptors this season. In case, if he is willing to head elsewhere, the Raptors have to make the most out of it.
In case if the DeRozan trade happens, it is rumored that the Raptors might trade him to Kevin Durant of the Oklahoma City Thunder. However, it seems that Durant prefers to stay with the OKC as he is very close with Russell Westbrook.
What do you think? Will the Toronto Raptors trade DeMar DeRozan? If so, will the team trade him to the Oklahoma City Thunder in exchange for Kevin Durant. Sound off your thoughts in the comments section.
